About the Lawyer and our Law Firm
Thank you for visiting my website. I am an attorney practicing in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas. My family is my law firm. My wife is the accountant and office manager for our firm. Our daughter was home schooled and then graduated with honors from Texas Christian University with a Music degree in violin performance. As a family-oriented firm, we concentrate on providing informal, family-style, personal service to our clients.
I would be happy to discuss your case briefly and estimate my fees by telephone. I DO NOT CHARGE for your first phone call with me! If you leave me a voice message, I will return your call as soon as I can. |
My philosophy as an attorney is to help people resolve their cases in a way that protects their long-term best interests.
Usually that means helping people cooperate to reach an agreement.
Sometimes it means spending some extra time to make sure that a client's legal documents are prepared correctly. Sometimes it means avoiding a lengthy and damaging legal battle in the court system. Sometimes it means helping clients through negotiation, mediation, or Collaborative Law so that they can reach an agreement to resolve a dispute with dignity.
I do contract work with a large law firm in Fort Worth where I meet my clients. I also have a home office where I do the administrative work for my private practice. Please see my Office Addresses page for more information.
I was born in 1962. My wife and I graduated from Paschal High School and then Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. We were married in 1985. I graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 1986. I then received my license to practice law from the Supreme Court of Texas a few months later in 1987. Except for an odd year or two, we have pretty much lived in Texas our whole lives.
I am a musician, a professional guitar instructor, the Executive Director of Community Music Connection - a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization, a member of the band - Panther City Rounders, a qualified mediator, a graduate-level mediation trainer, a former adjunct college professor, the President of the Tarrant County Association of Mediators, a licensed pilot, and a devoted husband and proud father.
